Box Jellyfish Invade Beaches

Posted July 21st, 2014 @ 1:11pm

If you're headed out to the beach Monday, check with lifeguards and heed warning signs. It's time for the monthly influx of box jellyfish. Researchers said 582 jelly fish were gathered from Waikiki Beach Monday morning, the first day of the invasion. The stinging creatures normally arrive in the near shore waters seven to 11 days after the full moon.
