A Makaha man accused of stabbing an employee of Waianae Hardware Store May 28, pleaded not guilty in Circuit Court Monday. Twenty-one-year-old Chad Hoapate Teisina III, also known as Chad Tisina, entered his plea from Oahu Community Correctional Center using the judiciary's closed video system, where he remains unable to post $100,000 bail. His criminal trial will begin August 11. Teisina was initially arrested on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder. The charges were later reduced to first-degree attempted assault and first-degree robbery.
